Are your platforms and stairs covered with an anti-abrasive material? Platforms and staircases are worn out shortly for children to press with their feet. And after a while this leads to rust. To prevent this, the platforms may be covered with rubber-like materials. Our company is covering all platforms and stairs against such wear.
Are your plastics UV stabilized? Can I see your test reports? If the plastic used in a playground is not UV-stabilized, its colors will fade in a short time. Plastic that is not UV stabilized will become brittle with time and lose its strength. Our company uses colors with a light fastness of at least 7-8. The tests we have done in our quality department show that our colors last for as long as 3-4 years. For details of the tests you can review the quality section of our web page.
Do you have quality control? At Flopark we believe that we would not be able to secure the safety of playgrounds without quality control. Children are more vulnerable than adults in the face of dangerous situations. We realize that producing children's parks is a serious business. Manufacturers must have a robust quality control infrastructure to provide them. Our company has many quality control devices and procedures to ensure the safety of your children and the long life of your products.
What is done in quality control applications? Plastic Raw Material Tests; the quality of the raw materials received from the suppliers and the conformity with the technical specifications given by the manufacturer are tested. Microscope; it is used to detect and photograph the raw material and the properties that can not be seen by the final products. With Aging Test; shows the durability of the plastics being produced, especially under sunlight and weather conditions outdoors. For example with this test it is possible to see how long the colors of the plastics will not fade. Tensile Strength Test; ropes, hooks, nets, etc. Tests can be carried out. The robustness of the plastic parts, the tensile stresses and the maximum load that the balls pool can carry are being tested. It is possible to check the measurements of the products produced with 3D Measuring Instruments. Raw Material Meat Thickness controls the thickness of products by ultrasonically. In this case, the correctness of the material thickness distribution is determined. EN 1176 Tests; the gauges stated in EN 1176, the norm of European Union playgrounds, ensure that products do not create dangerous areas for children. Galvanized Thickness; metal galvanized thickness indicates the time the metal can withstand without rust. Therefore, galvanized thickness is tested, be sure to be at the desired level. Metal Meat Thickness; the metal thicknesses of each supplied metal part are controlled. Paint - Primer Thickness; the thickness of the paint and liner is measured every day to prevent rusting. At this point, make sure that the metals are coated with primer and paint at the desired thickness. Paint Cross Cut Test; every day the painted metals are tested with the Cross Cut test. Make sure you do not have any problems with paint and the application of paint. Date of production; the production dates of the products are indicated on each product. At this point, traceability is provided. Unleaded Paint; only lead-free paint is used in our products. Lead is extremely dangerous, especially to children. The companies that sell leaded paint have to write warnings about the children on these paints. But there is no such warning in lead-free paint. Children's park standards strictly forbid lead paint in EN 1176. Due to the low cost, many companies unfortunately continue to use that contain lead paint.
